What PromptMatch collects

PromptMatch stores only prompt text that you submit on supported AI websites after you explicitly turn capture on, the AI service name (ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude), and a timestamp. Each installation creates a random collector key locally. The server stores only a SHA-256 hash of that key.

What it does not collect

PromptMatch does not collect AI answers, full conversation pages, account names, email addresses, cookies, passwords, browsing history, or page contents from ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude. The page-fit tool fetches only the public URL you explicitly ask it to analyze.

Storage and retention

Captured prompts are stored in MongoDB Atlas and are automatically deleted after 180 days. Data are transmitted over HTTPS. The Chrome extension sends data only to the PromptMatch service at promptmatch-free.vercel.app.

Deletion

You can delete all prompts associated with your local collector key from the PromptMatch dashboard at any time. Because PromptMatch does not collect your identity, the collector key is the only way the service can associate stored prompts with your browser.

Use of data

Captured prompts are used only to provide the requested prompt-history and page-fit functionality. They are not sold, used for advertising, transferred for credit decisions, or used for unrelated purposes.
